Hello there. I'm an artist, living with my husband on a small island in the San Juans. (Off the coast of WA state, by the Canadian border.) My blog is the place where I toss my latest delights, obsessions, and outrages -- and I work hard to make it be an entertaining, coherent site to visit.

I don't have any paid ads on my blog, because I spend a lot of time there and I want it to be a pleasant environment. Actually, my real-world life is pretty ad-free as well: No TV, no paved roads here, no stores, no public utilities...

I'm politically left-wing, wildly opinionated, and holding my breath til November 4th. I have a hungry mind, an appetite for learning new things. Currently I'm working on putting together a website, which will be more specifically focused on my art.
