Comment on my design

I'm hoping to get some honest opinions on my blog design. thelifeontherocksblog.blogspot.com
About:
It's called "Life on the Rocks"
Reason being is that I wanted to post true, unbiased opinions that some may find hard to believe/swallow, and so I got the idea for a Bar where some strong drinks were sold.
Design:
Like I said, I wanted to create a bar like atmosphere and tried to get some top down views of people seating but so far this is what i have.
Any criticism and encouraging critique is very welcome
