Don't be hindered about what other people say about giving it more time! If you think you're ready, go for it! No one else knows yourself better than you, yes?

I'd suggest going out with friends more often, maybe even getting your friends to introduce you to someone? Go for events, meet new people, try out new things to! You might just meet someone along the way hehe. It's never too late so don't worry My grand-aunt got married last year at the age of 58; you have plenty of time!

I would like to say you are definitely an inspiration to want to pick up the pieces and head out again!
Why not try joining some activities where you can meet some new people? That would be a great start.

You can try meetup.com where you can find tonnes of like-minded people!

trying online dating is not bad but be selective with the website. I used match.com and now I am married with the one from online dating. Never lose your hope and try to be patient and just enjoy the process.

This is the surest sign that you are ready to move on with your life. If you have been bereaved it is a matter of making sure you have had enough time to go through the grieving process and all that involves. There is no right way to grieve and you might find yourself going through lots of different emotions including anger and denial before you finally get to a place of acceptance. Acceptance means that you know deep in your heart that your loved one is gone and is never coming back and you will begin to be able to visualise a future for yourself with someone else without it feeling like a betrayal of their memory.

If you feel like you are ready to start a healthy relationship, then go for it. Finding the right person is the hardest part of this, though. Maybe someone from you group of friends? You know, I have never liked the idea of getting to know someone only to date them, and not be friends at first. If you like a person, wait a bit and see how they really are and how good their intentions are. Don't get attached or involved before you know someone well!
